Newcastle United and Bristol City have been linked with Lee Tomlin.
According to the Sky Sports Transfer Centre (Friday 24th June, 19:45), Bournemouth have accepted an undisclosed bid from Championship side Bristol City for out of favour forward Lee Tomlin.
The report claims that the former Middlesbrough man is heading for the exit door after failing to nail down a regular starting berth with the Cherries and Bristol City are in pole position to sign him.
Tomlin only joined Bournemouth from Boro 12 months ago, yet after making just six Premier League appearances he has been heavily mooted for a summer exit.
A recent report in The Sun claimed Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez was eyeing him up in a £3 million deal, but as yet nothing has materialised in terms of a potential switch to the Magpies.
The Robbins endured a difficult campaign in the Championship last season, yet the arrival of young boss Lee Johnson – succeeding Steve Cotterill – prompted an upturn in form towards the end.

Johnson will now hope his Bristol side can challenge for a top half spot this season, though much may depend on whether they find a suitable forward parter for Jonathan Kodjia.
Tomlin began his career at Rushdon and Diamonds before a superb spell at Peterbrough United prompted Middlesbrough to sign him in 2014, going on to make 56 appearances for the Teesside club.
