Norwich City’s Ben Marshall has been linked with Birmingham City and Millwall.

According to a report in the Eastern Daily Press, Norwich City winger Ben Marshall is set to join Millwall on loan on Wednesday with fellow Championship side Birmingham City missing out on his signature.

Marshall only joined the Canaries from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer for a reported £1.5 million deal (Eastern Daily Press).

But he has struggled to break in to the first-team, making just four Championship starts with his last league appearance coming way back in August.

Marshall is capable of playing at both right-back and right wing, yet Norwich have an abundance of cover in both positions resulting in his lack of game-time.

Birmingham are just below the top six heading into next weekend’s fixture, ironically against Norwich, and they would have been hoping to provide competition out wide for Jota and Jacques Maghoma.

Garry Monk is doing at terrific job at St Andrew’s, but his squad is small and the Blues’ playoff push could hinge on whether they manage to strengthen this month.

Unfortunately for the Midlands side, though, Marshall has opted to join Millwall who he joined on loan 12 months ago for the second half of the 2016-17 campaign, scoring three goals.

Millwall boss Neil Harris will know exactly what he is getting with the player having had him at The Den last term, and a successful spell this time could see the club try and get him permanently in the summer.
