Arsenal have been linked with Barcelona’s Andre Gomes.

According to a recent report in AS, Arsenal boss Unai Emery has received a glowing report when asking about Andre Gomes’s current physical and mental state while Barcelona are trying to push through a sale.
The Portugal international has disappointed during his time at the Nou Camp, featuring sporadically and often failing to link up with his teammates following his move from fellow La Liga side Valencia.
It is widely expected that the midfielder will depart Barca this summer, with AS claiming that the Spanish giants would accept a fee lower than the £31 million they spent to acquire his services, while excluding him from their upcoming US pre-season tour.

Arsenal are the latest club to have shown an interest in Gomes, with the Sun citing both Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers as two other Premier League sides keen on his services.
AS claim newly-appointed manager Emery has been in talks with Barca over a potential deal, and the latest update is that the Gunners have received positive news over his current well-being.
Gomes is said to be keen on a fresh start, having struggled for both form and tranquillity at Barca, subsequently missing out on a World Cup place with the Portuguese national team.

Arsenal have already strengthened their squad this summer with the arrivals of Lucas Torreira, Bernd Leno and Sokratis Papastathopoulos, but adding Gomes to the mix would give them added strength in midfield.
The former Valencia man, 24, has the best part of his career still ahead of him and un-tapping his undoubted potential could see Arsenal pick up a real bargain should they opt to sign him this summer.
