Both Manchester United and Liverpool have been linked with Napoli midfielder Jorginho.

According to a report in Tuttomercatoweb, Napoli midfielder Jorginho could be nearing a move to the Premier League as his agent is said to be in Manchester to hold talks with prospective clubs.
The 26-year-old has been one of the outstanding midfielders in Serie A this season, netting two goals and grabbing a further four assists in 26 league appearances as Napoli challenge for the title.
Born in Brazil but now a three-cap Italy international, Jorginho has attracted plenty of interest from the Premier League for his displays this term and the Mirror cite both Liverpool and United as the frontrunners for his signature.

A fresh report in Italy, however, suggests that Manchester United are edging ahead as his agent is currently in the city ahead of possible talks as they look to lay the groundwork for a big-money transfer ahead of next season.
The Red Devils will be desperate to add to their ranks this summer, what with boss Jose Mourinho suggesting on more than one occasion that the club need to bring in fresh faces if they are to challenge Manchester City.
Aside from Nemanja Matic, it seems the United midfield is a problem area for Mourinho as club record signing Paul Pogba continues to disappoint while the likes of Marouane Fellaini edge closer to the exit door.

Jorginho would add some much-needed bite, energy and desire in the United midfield and they are the sort of attributes many supporters feel are lacking amid sub-par performances at Old Trafford.
Having said that, the Mirror reported earlier today that Liverpool are confident of beating their rivals to the player’s signature, and Jurgen Klopp’s attacking football coupled with the success of Brazilians at Anfield could play a key role in Jorginho’s decision.
The holding midfielder doesn’t have many weaknesses, and this season in the Italian top-flight he has averaged 97.3 passes per league fixture with an impressive pass-accuracy rate of 89.3% (Whoscored).
