Reading have been linked with Norwich City’s Nelson Oliveira.

According to a report in The Mirror, Reading want to sign Norwich City’s Nelson Oliveira.
The Portuguese striker joined the Canaries for £5 million but under manager Daniel Farke he has fallen out of favour, with Teemu Pukki and Jordan Rhodes ahead of him in the pecking order.
Reading are currently in the Championship’s bottom three but the appointment of new manger Jose Gomes has given the Royals belief that they can beat the drop.
The Berkshire club beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 in their last home match, while on Saturday they could count themselves unfortunate to come away from Pride Park with nothing after losing 2-1 to Derby County.
Reading have creativity in their ranks with John Swift, Sone Aluko, Modou Barrow and Yakou Meite vying for starts but their biggest downfall is a lack of a focal point up top and a regular goal scorer.

Oliveira knows how to find the net and over the past three seasons he has scored 28 Championship goals in 66 starts.
With Millwall and Preston North End seemingly too good to go down, Reading’s best hope of preserving their Championship status would be hauling themselves above either Rotherham United or Wigan Athletic.
Both Wigan (28 goals) and the Millers (27 goals) have also struggled to find the net this term, therefore signing a quality striker such as Oliveira could be the defining factor over the remaining 18 league games.
