Crystal Palace have experienced a mixed weekend.

Peter Ramage has taken to social networking site Twitter in order to comment on Crystal Palace’s mixed fortunes over the weekend as the Eagles suffered another Premier League defeat.
Palace started the season in disappointing fashion as a 1-0 defeat at home to West Bromwich Albion was arguably made worse by Yannick Bolasie’s decision to leave the club for Everton.
What was evident during Palace’s opening day defeat was their lack of goal threat, and it was a similar story on Saturday as they once again went down 1-0 this time away at Tottenham Hotspur.

The result leaves the South London club in 19th position of the table, yet on the bright side the arrival of Christian Benteke for a club record fee from Liverpool has created some much-needed positivity.
Writing on Twitter, former Palace player Ramage has praised the addition of the Belgium international.
Alan Pardew’s men suffered a terrible run of results from the start of 2016 and dropped from a top-half position in the Premier League table to only a few places above the drop zone last term.
Christian Benteke celebrates scoring the first goal for Liverpool
Two successive 1-0 defeats hardly represents a turn of the corner for Palace, though there is no doubt the arrival of Benteke will give them so much more as an attacking force.
The former Aston Villa man thrives from balls into the box from wide areas and in Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend, Palace have a decent set of wingers who should help Benteke rediscover his best form.
