Derby County’s Max Lowe has made a huge impression this summer.

Some Derby County fans have taken to Twitter to comment on left-back Max Lowe’s progress this summer, following his terrific performance in the 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Lowe broke in to the Derby first-team set-up during the 2016-17 campaign and it was evident he had plenty of potential, yet a string of niggling injuries disrupted his development.
Last season he barely featured for the Rams and was subsequently sent out on loan at Shrewsbury Town, where he failed to make much of an impression and missed out on the club’s League One play-off games.
But since coming back to Derby this summer, Lowe has been arguably the standout player in pre-season and several supporters are hopeful that an injury-free run will see him take the Championship by storm.
The 21-year-old has plenty of pace, strength and dribbling ability as he looks to power his way past the half-way line and join the attack whenever possible.
Under former Derby manager Gary Rowett he would have seen his chances to shine disrupted largely due to the negative defensive tactics adopted, but under Frank Lampard he could become a real star.

Lampard has only been working with the squad for about a month, but performance levels from certain players have already improved – while the style of football on display is much more pleasing on the eye.
A 3-0 victory over Southampton and Derby’s latest 2-1 win over newly-promoted Premier League side Wolves has given fans plenty of optimism for the season ahead, which starts with an away trip to Reading on Friday.
Lowe’s inclusion coupled with the additions of Harry Wilson, Mason Mount and Jack Marriott, has given Derby a new young, hungry looking side capable of causing a surprise in the Championship this term.
