Leicester City have been linked with Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini.

According to a report in the Mirror, Leicester City are among six clubs interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini on a free transfer this summer.
The Belgium international joined the Red Devils five years ago in a big-money deal from Everton, but with his current contract coming to an end, he is set to leave Old Trafford with several clubs eyeing him up.
Fellaini, standing at 6ft 5inches, offers both height and power in the middle of midfield and fellow Premier League suitors Leicester and West Ham United may see good reason to bring him in.

According to Spotrac, his currently weekly wage at United is a rather modest £80,000-per-week – a figure which certainly fits in with Leicester’s wage structure as top earner Jamie Vardy nets £100,000-per-week.
But do the Foxes really need to add the 30-year-old to their squad? Claude Puel’s side lack height in midfield, but mobility is a key trait in the middle of the park and helps them spring quick counterattacks.

Fellaini isn’t exactly the quickest player around, while he doesn’t really have the legs to sprint from one end of the pitch to the other in the mould of current Leicester first-teamer Wilfred Ndidi.
The Foxes may be better off looking elsewhere as they bid to add competition to their midfield ranks this summer, while Fellaini himself could seek a more lucrative deal if he opts to leave England altogether.

Reacting on social media site Twitter to the latest rumours, Leicester fans were divided over the prospect of signing the United man this summer with some believing he isn’t the right type of player at all.
