Aitor Karanka has become a popular figure among Nottingham Forest supporters.

Nottingham Forest supporters have reacted favourably to boss Aitor karanka’s latest message to the fans via social networking site Twitter, with one in particular pleading with the Spaniard to never leave.
The former Real Madrid defender became Forest’s new manager in January, replacing Mark Warburton who spent just over six months in charge at the City Ground.

Karanka has promotion experience from the Championship with former side Middlesbrough, and he knows that Forest have a history of dumping managers if they cannot accomplish short-term goals.
His reign at the City Ground started in quite disappointing fashion, falling to Hull City in the FA Cup and losing four of his first five Championship games to leave the side looking nervously over their shoulder.

An unbeaten run of six league games, however, has lifted spirits around the club and their battling display in the recent 0-0 draw with East Midlands rivals Derby County was looked upon favourably by fans.
Taking to social networking site Twitter in order to communicate with fans, Karanka told the Forest faithful that their support has been crucial in helping the team progress and he feels they are on the right track.
The arrival of as many as six players during the January transfer window has certainly helped, but arguably what pleases Forest fans most is the continued development of their star young players.
The likes of Ben Osborn, Ben Brereton and Matty Cash all started the derby clash with the Rams and each put in a solid performance as the Reds restricted Gary Rowett’s promotion-chasing side to few chances.

Up next for Forest is a tricky trip to Bramall Lane to face Sheffield United, but on current form they have every chance of picking up a positive result and making it four successive away games without defeat.
