Ipswich Town have made six new signings this month.

Ipswich Town manager Paul Lambert says his side could still add to their squad this month despite reaching the limit in number of loan players allowed, the East Anglian Daily Times reports.
“We can’t do anymore loans because we’ve got the full limit. You never know, something might pop up we think is worthwhile. We’ll see what happens,” Lambert said when asked if more signings were possible.
Ipswich have been one of the busiest clubs in the Championship this month, bringing in six new players in James Collins, Simon Dawkins, Will Keane, Alan Judge, Callum Elder and Collin Quaner.
The Tractor Boys are bottom of the Championship table, having won only three league games all season. With just 18 games remaining, Lambert needs a miracle to overhaul a seven-point deficit to survival.
But that ha not stopped the former Norwich City manager from bringing in several fresh faces as he tries to turn his side’s fortunes around.

Ipswich took the gamble to employ Paul Hurst as Mick McCarthy’s successor last summer, and subsequently bring in a host of new players from League One and League Two while letting key players leave.
Martyn Waghorn and Joe Garner, who provided 26 league goals between them last term, were both sold and replaced by Kayden Jackson and Ellis Harrison – two players with just four goals combined after 28 games.
Fellow summer signings Janoi Donacien and Jordan Roberts have recently been loaned back out to lower league clubs, with Lambert preferring to replace them with more experienced players.
With Ipswich having the leakiest defence in the Championship (48 goals conceded) this term, if they are going to bring in one more it’s possible they will target another defensive-minded player.
