Paul Ince believes West Ham United supporters will be restless following their 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers, but urged fans to give boss Manuel Pellegrini time, the BBC report.

Adama Traore’s stoppage time winner handed Wolves all three points from their clash at the London Stadium and condemned West Ham to a fourth consecutive Premier League defeat in their opening four games.

Defeats at top six sides Liverpool and Arsenal are easily forgiven, but home defeats to Bournemouth and now Wolves will leave man fans frustrated, following West Ham’s heavy investment in new players over the summer.

The east London club spent over £80 million in the summer and started the game against Wolves with seven new signings, yet it was another frustrating afternoon.

Commenting for the BBC, Paul Ince urged West Ham fans will be restless not to lose faith in Pellegrini.

“It is no much a must win game, yet but fans will get restless with no wins this season after four games. They will be simmering. They have got to give Manuel Pellegrini time, he’s a Premier league winner. But they expect to beat Wolves at home with the players they have got,” the former midfielder explained.

West Ham now have the international break to look forward to, as they assess their performances and work hard on the training ground – but the next set of fixtures will also be tough. West Ham travel to Everton next, before hosting Chelsea and Manchester United within six days, and then they travel to Brighton.
