Nottingham Forest will be in the market for a new right-back.

Nottingham Forest are surely set to make a new right-back one of their top priorities this summer after USA international Eric Lichaj left the club to join fellow Championship side Hull City.
The Reds have already made some interesting acquisitions so far with Portugal U21 internationals Diogo Goncalves and Joao Carvalho joining the club, but in their search for a right-back they should look a little closer to home and former Derby County man Cyrus Christie could be the ideal solution.
The Republic of Ireland international departed Pride Park 12 months ago as he traded the Rams for Middlesbrough, but his spell at the Riverside was only a brief one as he joined Fulham last January.

At Craven Cottage, Christie barely featured as he played second fiddle to Ryan Fredericks, and upon Fulham’s promotion to the Premier League his chances of regular first-team football have further decreased.
Despite Fredericks opting to leave Fulham for London rivals West Ham, the Cottagers have immediately looked at bringing in a top-quality replacement leaving big question marks over Christie’s future.
Forest boss Aitor Karanka will be looking to put together a squad that can fight for promotion this coming season, and Christie represents a better option than current right-back Tendayi Darikwa.

Standing at 6ft 2inch, Christie is arguably a Karanka-type player as his height and energy means he can cover defensive duties well while providing a threat both going forward and at set-pieces.
The 25-year-old still has the best part of his career ahead of him, and he knows all about fighting for a spot in the Premier League having been through promotion battles with the Rams and as a member at Fulham last term.
