Aston Villa may decide to recall Tommy Elphick from his Hull City loan deal.

Hull City supporters have taken to Twitter to comment on the possibility of losing Tommy Elphick in the January transfer window with his parent club Aston Villa tipped to bring him back.
A report from the Sunday People (23/12; page 50), claims Villa boss Dean Smith has decided to bring him back in January with the club short on central defensive options.
Despite being one of the leading scorers in the Championship, Villa have the worst defensive record of any team in the top-half of the table and they shipped another three goals in the 3-2 defeat to Leeds United on Sunday.
Hull, meanwhile, are on the rise and Elphick has been a mainstay in the first-team. Losing him in January will be a big blow to Nigel Adkins’ side and supporters have made their feelings known on the latest rumours.
Elphick failed to establish himself in the Villa first-team eleven under former manager Steve Bruce and many supporters at Villa Park may have thought he had already played his last game for the club what with his deal at Villa expiring in the summer.
The 31-year-old has made 18 Championship starts for Hull this season and has helped the Tigers keep four clean sheets in their last nine games, picking up an impressive 18 points.

Hull have managed to climb away from the relegation zone though they may face a challenging January transfer window and their survival hopes could depend on keeping their better players at the KCOM Stadium.
