Norwich City’s Nelson Oliveira is out of favour at the club.

Norwich City’s sporting director Stuart Webber says the Norfolk club are looking to find striker Nelson Oliveira a new team in January by admitting they are open to offers, the Eastern Daily Press report.
“If he stays, no one really wins. We are open to offers for him in January. He is open to leaving because he knows he needs to play football,” Webber explained.
“As a club we have an expensive asset sat there and for him his career is disappearing, and you only get one opportunity. He knows that.”
Oliveira joined Norwich in the summer of 2016, arriving from fellow Championship side Nottingham Forest on a four-year deal under then manager Alex Neil.
He netted 11 goals in his debut campaign for the club despite making just 16 Championship starts, and the arrival of Daniel Farke as manager momentarily saw him feature more often as he started 26 games last term.
But with the arrival of Teemu Pukki and Jordan Rhodes on loan in the summer, Farke made the decision to drop Oliveira altogether and the 27-year-old is yet to make a single appearance this season.

The Canaries aren’t exactly missing his presence as they top the Championship table, winning 10 of their last 12 games and scoring a whopping 12 goals in their last three matches.
Oliveira has plenty of ability, but the 17-capped Portugal international is likely to be among the club’s highest earners and moving him off the books makes sense if he doesn’t have a place in the first-team squad.
Several Championship clubs who are seeking a goal scorer may see him as an ideal loan option in January, but with 18 months left on his contract the Canaries would be better off seeking a permanent exit.
