Norwich City duo Ben Marshall and Onel Hernandez missed the win over Reading.
Norwich City manager Daniel Farke says this weekend’s clash with Queens Park Rangers is too soon for Ben Marshall while Onel Hernandez’s hernia operation was a success, canaries.co.uk report.
“Ben has been away most of the week. He was in today but the Doctor said we had to careful so he did some bike work this morning and is not available,” Farke told the club’s official website.
On Onel Hernandez, he added: “Operation is done and was successful. He is already back and the Doctor is pretty pleased. He could be back soon. He’s desperate to come back as soon as possible.”
The two players missed the midweek 2-1 victory over Reading, with Farke’s men coming out on top in a scruffy game at the Madejski Stadium as they recorded back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
Marshall, a summer arrival from Wolverhampton Wanderers, has featured in four Championship matches this season with three of those coming in an unfamiliar right-back spot in the absence of Ivan Pinto.
The natural winger has largely impressed, and he will be keen to regain his place in the side though the upcoming match at Loftus Road has seemingly come too soon for him.
Hernandez, likewise, has also been a first-team regular for Norwich this season and in seven appearances has an impressive two goals and three assists to his name.
He also missed the win over Reading as he underwent a hernia operation, with youngster Todd Cantwell coming into the fold in his absence and impressing as the academy product grabbed an assist.
Hernandez, a versatile German attack-minded player, has arguably been the Canaries’ best player so far this term therefore Farke will be delighted that his recent hernia setback isn’t likely to side-line him for long.
