Fulham’s Tom Cairney has been linked with a move to Leicester City.

Claude Puel, Manager of Leicester City looks on prior to the Premier League match between Brighton and Hove Albion and Leicester City at Amex Stadium on March 31, 2018 in Brighton, England.

Leicester City fans have taken to social networking site Twitter in order to discuss the prospect of signing Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney, with supporters seemingly divided on the idea.

The Championship talisman has been linked with a move to both Leicester and Newcastle United in the past few days, and the Sun claims that Fulham are bracing themselves for a £20 million bid this summer.

It is said the attempt will come from Newcastle, yet Leicester are supposedly upping their interest as Cairney’s excellent recent performances have put him in the frame for the Championship Player of the Year award.

The Scottish midfielder is comfortable in possession, and his return to top form has coincided with the Cottagers’ 18-game unbeaten run which has them right in the mix for automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Over the past five games, Cairney has contributed with three goals and two assists, mirroring his form from last season where he produced an incredible 13 goals and 10 assists from the centre of midfield.

Fulham fans will be praying for a return to the Premier League this season, as a failure to make it will surely see leading players such as Ryan Sessegnon, Stefan Johansen and Cairney leave for top-flight clubs.

Leicester are going strong under Claude Puel, but if there is one area they must improve this summer it is added creativity from midfield, especially if they end up losing Riyad Mahrez to a bigger club.
