Nottingham Forest midfielder Chris Cohen is still a popular figure at Yeovil Town.

Yeovil Town supporters have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the retirement of Nottingham Forest midfielder Chris Cohen, with many still holding him in the highest of regards.
The 31-year-old announced his decision to retire at the end of the current campaign following years of battling with injuries, resulting in just a handful of appearances over the past 12 months.
Cohen, a former West Ham United youth product, later joined Yeovil after struggling for games in east London and soon became a popular figure among the Huish Park faithful.

He made 74 appearances for Yeovil in League One, and his excellent performances alerted the attention of Forest, who went on to sign him along with fellow Glovers ace Arron Davies in 2007.
Cohen featured heavily during Forest’s promotion campaign in League One, and he established himself as a key performer for the Reds in their ensuing play-off campaigns in the Championship.
Unfortunately for the player, he suffered a knee ligament injury during the encounter with rivals Derby County in 2011 and that was the start of what soon became a torrid run on the side-lines.

Cohen went on to suffer two more serious knee injuries, meaning that over the past five years he has managed to feature in just 59 Championship matches – averaging just over 11 appearances a season.
He has been at the City Ground for a total of 11 years and, having captained the side on several occasions, he is widely regarded as one of the club’s most popular figures this side of the millennium.

But arguably he made even more of an impact in his two seasons at Yeovil; so much so that a section of supporters have joined Forest fans in praising his ability following his retirement announcement.
