Wolverhampton Wanderers drew 1-1 with Manchester City in the early Premier League game Saturday.

Manchester City defender Kyle Walker says opponents Wolverhampton Wanderers were a well-organised team who deserved to take a share of the spoils following their 1-1 draw Saturday, the BBC reports.
Wolves became the first team to take points off reigning champions Manchester City this season, as they held Pep Guardiola’s men to a 1-1 draw, albeit in somewhat controversial circumstances.
Willy Boly opened the scoring for Wolves in the second half, but he clearly put the ball in with his hand, before Manchester City midfielder David Silva was denied what looked to be a clear penalty moments later.
Aymeric Laporte did manage to find an equaliser for the visitors, as he headed past the impressive Rui Patricio, but Wolves held on for a point – and looked just as likely to find a winner on the counterattack.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Manchester City right-back Walker said that he believed Molineux will be a tough place to go for any Premier League side this season.
“We created a lot of chances to put more than one past them. They are a well organised team so I think it will be hard for teams to come here. They deserved the point,” Walker admitted.
Guardiola also praised Wolves, telling the BBC: “It was a very good point. We created chances but their keeper made saves, so today we draw. We knew how good they were this season.”

Can Wolves push for a top-half position?
While Premier League safety should be the primary focus for Wolves this season, their performances in their opening three games arguably warrant more than just the two points they have thus far.
Manchester City were unlucky as they hit the woodwork three times, but Wolves could have also scored more than just the once as they countered well and looked like a very capable side on the ball.
Nuno Espirito Santos’s side have plenty of ability, and not many teams will pick up all three points from their trip to the west midlands. With a solid away record, Wolves could well push for a top 10 spot this season.
