Max Lowe looks set to return to Derby County in January.

Aberdeen supporters have taken to Twitter to lament Derby County’s decision to recall on loan left-back Max Lowe in the January transfer window following his terrific form in the Scottish Premiership.
Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes confirmed the news following a conversation with Rams boss Frank Lampard, telling reporters how he felt it was inevitable due to the player’s form and Derby’s injury problems.
“I spoke with Derby on Wednesday after the game and unfortunately for us Max is going to go back,” McInnes explained to Football Paradise.
“We’re really disappointed with that but we understand Derby’s need to have him back – they’ve been very impressed with him in his time with us. They have got one or two injury issues with full-backs down there.”
Lowe has been in excellent form for Aberdeen, helping the Dons rediscover their form from last season as they now sit in fourth position and just three points behind league leaders Celtic.
Supporters at Pittodrie have been impressed with the youngster, with several taking to Twitter to comment on his impending exit.
The 21-year-old has made 18 appearances for Aberdeen in all competitions and helped the club reach the Betfred Cup final where they were beaten 1-0 by reigning champions Celtic.
Derby have several injuries at left-back with Marcus Olsson and Craig Forsyth out for the season, leaving summer signing Scott Malone as the only fit senior left-back available for selection.
Lowe will return to Pride Park in January and provide competition, and with a busy Championship schedule he will no doubt get opportunities to stake his claim for a regular first-team spot.
