Nottingham Forest lost to Norwich City 2-1 at the City Ground over the weekend.

Nottingham Forest manager Aitor Karanka says he wants to see more support for the players from the club’s fans after raised tensions during the 2-1 defeat at home to Norwich City, the club’s official website report.
“I understand that our crowd are demanding but we need to keep creating an atmosphere where they feel the support. I could see at times today that the players were feeling the pressure but we must understand the need to stay calm,” Karanka explained.
“It is fantastic to have 29,000 people inside the stadium but those bad moments are when the players need that support. It is not a criticism of the fans but sometimes we just need that bit of extra support from them at home.”
Nottingham Forest took a one goal lead into the half-time interval after Lewis Grabban’s early opener, but they were left to rue subsequent missed chances as the Canaries took over proceedings in the second period.
Norwich equalised through defender Timm Klose, and after pressuring the Forest goal for an extended period of time, Daniel Farke’s side grabbed a winner, with Norwich skipper Klose netted his second of the afternoon.
Norwich deserved the three points after a dominant second half, but Forest didn’t help themselves as they sat back and showed little going forward.

In-front of a near sell-out crowd, Forest were expected to take the game to the visitors, but as they struggled to get going, grumbles could be heard in the crowd and soon after some players clearly lost confidence.
Being one of the biggest clubs in the Championship and one of the heaviest spenders in the summer, Nottingham Forest and their fans clearly expect at least a top 6 finish this season.
