Niko Kranjcar has been heavily linked with a move to Rangers.

Former player Mark Hateley says expected new Rangers signing Niko Kranjcar is a technician and ticks all the right boxes for the Ibrox side, the Evening Times report.
Rangers have been busy in the transfer market this summer having already brought in Matt Crooks and Josh Windass from Accrington Stanley as well as experienced duo Joey Barton and Clint Hill.
But it appears boss Mark Warburton’s isn’t about to stop there, as The Scottish Sun recently reported that the Niko Kranjcar was closing in on a two-year deal with the Gers having held talks with the club.

The former Portsmouth man has plenty of experience and quality to boot, and former player Hateley believes he would be a real coup for the Glasgow side as he labels the attacking midfielder a technician.
“He’s a tidy player, a technician – he ticks all the boxes for me,” Hateley told the Evening Times.
With such impressive additions in key areas, many are rightfully getting excited about the prospect of Rangers’ Scottish Premiership title chances this season as they look to challenge Celtic.

Hateley is likewise optimistic ahead of the new campaign, and he feels there will be a better mix this season as he tips the club to do well and believes targeting a trophy is a realistic aim.
He added: “It will be a better mix this season than last. I expect us to do well again. The first target is always to win a trophy. You always have to be winning something at the big clubs.”
