Paul Hurst was recently dismissed by Ipswich Town.

Supporters of Shrewsbury Town have taken to Twitter to call upon their board to rehire unemployed manager Paul Hurst after he was recently sacked at Championship side Ipswich Town.
Hurst left Shrewsbury in the summer after guiding them to the League One playoffs, and he took over the reigns at Ipswich after former manager Mick McCarthy departed Portman Road with his contract set to expire.
Many Ipswich fans were excited to see a change in style under Hurst, but the former Shrews boss struggled to get going and after a dire run of just one win in 15 league games, he was dismissed of his duties.
With Shrewsbury recently parting company with John Askey after a similarly poor run, several supporters of the League One strugglers have called for Hurst’s return despite being hurt by his summer move to Ipswich.
The East Anglian Daily Times claim Hurst is also a favourite for the vacant AFC Wimbledon job, but it seems he would favour a return to Shrewsbury where he performed such a terrific job there.
The Ipswich job came too soon for Hurst, and he certainly wasn’t helped by the Tractor Boys selling off key assets Martyn Waghorn and Joe Garner ahead of deadline day – two players who netted 26 league goals combined last term.
Ipswich, now under the guidance of Paul Lambert, find themselves bottom of the Championship and five points from safety following recent draws against Preston North End and fellow strugglers Reading.
