Derby County’s Callum Guy is currently on loan at Bradford City.

Derby County’s Callum Guy says former Rams player Stephen Warnock has been an influential figure at Bradford City as the youngster looks to impress during his loan spell, dcfc.co.uk reports.
Guy joined the Bantams during the January transfer window as he looks to gain some first-team experience in League One, before seeking to consolidate himself as a senior first-team member at Derby.
The 21-year-old does have League One experience having joined Port Vale on loan last term, but this time around the situation is different as Bradford look to earn promotion to the Championship via the play-offs.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Guy explains how fellow loanee Stephen Warnock has been a big help during his settling-in period at Valley Parade and praised the 36-year-old’s professionalism.
“Stephen Warnock joined not so long after I did, so it was nice to see him again. He’s such an experienced player and I had the opportunity to play alongside him a few times with Derby’s Under-23s,” Guy said.
“He’s been a big help for me since he’s joined. He’s always talking to me, asking how everything at Derby is, and, importantly, it’s been really helpful for me to have someone that I know here.”

Warnock joined Bradford from Derby’s nearby rivals Burton Albion, and most Rams fans will be well aware of his professionalism following his short stint at Pride Park during Steve McClaren’s reign.
The former Leeds United man acted as a utility player during his 18-month stay at the East Midlands club, featuring in over 25 Championship matches as the Rams battled for promotion to the Premier League.
Guy is predominantly a midfielder, but he is acting in a similarly versatile role at Bradford, featuring as a full-back on his debut while looking to make an impact at both ends of the pitch.
