Former Norwich City star Darren Huckerby has taken to Twitter to comment on his old club’s last-gasp 3-2 win over Bolton Wanderers in a topsy-turvy match at Carrow Road.

The Canaries headed into the encounter having won seven of their last eight league games, and they looked on course for another three points as goals from Mario Vranic and Marco Stiepermann put them 2-0 up.

But Bolton, coming into the game winl-ess since September and having only scored four goals in their last 13 games, stunned the hosts by clawing two goals back with Mark Beevers scoring an 88th minute equaliser.

Norwich, however, have made a habit of scoring last-minute winners this season, and once again Teemu Pukki found an injury-time winner, prompting Huckerby to get excited.

Daniel Farke’s side currently top the Championship table, and are now six points clear of third-placed Derby County after promotion rivals Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion were held to draws.

Norwich have shown consistency after a relatively poor start, and in recent weeks they’ve managed to find their goal scoring touch – with 18 goals in their last six league outings.

With key players like Moritz Leitner and Timm Klose missing against Bolton, it shows how the Norfolk club have quality in reserve too.

Norwich’s next two games are away at Bristol City and Blackburn Rovers, before hosting promotion rivals Nottingham Forest and Derby County at Carrow Road over the festive period.
