Crystal Palace host Liverpool this weekend.
Crystal Palace’s Scott Dann
Crystal Palace captain Scott Dann says he has been impressed with Liverpool this season and suggests they are currently the best team in the Premier League, cpfc.co.uk report.
The Reds head in to their encounter with Palace having won five of their last six league games, scoring 15 goals in the process including four in the 4-1 thrashing of reigning champions Leicester City.
Optimism is high on Merseyside regarding the prospect of a Premier League title challenge under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp, and Liverpool will target all three points from their meeting with Palace.
Speaking to the club’s official website ahead of the game, Dann admits he has been impressed by his side’s upcoming opponents this term and labels them currently the best team in England.
Jurgen Klopp
“I’ve been impressed with Liverpool this season; they’ve started really well and you can see what they’re about,” Dann explained.
“They’ve carried on doing what they did for parts of last season and scored lots of goals which means it’s going to be a difficult game for us, but we’re looking forward to it as it’s always good to test yourselves against the best, and at the moment that’s what Liverpool are.”
Liverpool’s Sadio Mane celebrates with team mates after scoring their first goal
Due to the early season renovation of Anfield, Liverpool have already played five games on the road this season with three of those coming against Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
The Reds have been extremely impressive this season, while Palace on the other hand have been largely inconsistent as they head in to the fixture winless in their last three league games.
The Eagles have a good record against Liverpool at Selhurst Park, but that could well change this weekend.
