Norwich City need a new goalkeeper and Sheffield Wednesday have three vying for one spot.

Norwich City are seemingly in the hunt for a new goalkeeper this summer and one club which has Championship-standard number ones in abundance is fellow competitors Sheffield Wednesday.
Canaries manager Daniel Farke has hinted the club are still be in the market for a new shot-stopper after last season’s number one Angus Gunn joined Southampton.
“Look at the facts last season. Michael McGovern was our number two. Remi Matthews was our number three and for that we decided to send him on loan to get some minutes and our number one Angus Gunn has left,” Farke told the Eastern Daily Press.
“It is quite obvious we don’t fall asleep in the market because we have lost a goalkeeper but it is also a situation that doesn’t concern me.”
Norwich ought to solve what could be a dilemma for them this coming term, and they should look no further than the Owls who currently boast top trio Kieren Westwood, Joe Wildsmith and Cameron Dawson.
A recent report in the Sheffield Star claimed something will have to give soon as each shot-stopper vie for the number one jersey at Hillsborough. It was expected one would have potentially left already.
But that has not been the case, and it’s going to be a challenge for Dutch boss Jos Luhukay to keep all three happy unless he plans on loaning one out or potentially letting one go permanently.

Westwood is the most experienced and is expected to start the campaign as the number one. As for Dawson, 23, and Wildsmith, 22, both are at that age where they need regular first-team football.
Norwich, having already signed Jordan Rhodes on loan from the Owls, would be wise to seek a second signing from Wednesday be it in the form of a permanent deal or another season-long loan.
Dawson and Wildsmith would both be an upgrade at Carrow Road and considering Wednesday’s current large squad and financial position, they could be open to allowing one to leave in a potentially bargain deal.
