Norwich City’s Moritz Leitner was excellent in the win over Nottingham Forest.

Norwich City fans have taken to Twitter to lavish praise on holding midfielder Moritz Leitner as he produced one of his best games of the season in the 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest.
Lewis Grabban gave Forest an early lead in the opening period, and the hosts started to ramp up the pressure as they looked for a second just before the half-time interval.
But Norwich came out a different animal in the second half, with two goals from skipper Timm Klose giving the Canaries a much-deserved comeback win leaving the City Ground stunned.
While Klose will earn the plaudits for his goals, holding midfielder Leitner was arguably instead the best player of the park with Norwich fans praising his control and leadership in the middle of the park.
The former Borussia Dortmund youngster joined Norwich on loan last season before making his move to Carrow Road permanent in the summer, signing a four-year deal with the Norfolk club.
Leitner, 25, didn’t start the season in particularly good fashion and found himself on the receiving end of fans criticism following early defeats to West Bromwich Albion, Sheffield United and Leeds United.

But since then he has gradually been improving, and against Forest he was outstanding throughout as he racked up two tackles and as many as four key passes – more than any other player on the pitch (Whoscored).
The victory puts Norwich in the Championship playoffs at Forest’s expense, and it sets them up nicely with back-to-back home games against Aston Villa and Brentford coming up.
