Blackburn Rovers supporters have taken to Twitter to respond to Darragh Lenihan’s message, after the defender praised the fans following his team’s 2-0 victory Millwall at The Den at the weekend.

Blackburn Rovers travelled to South London for the Championship’s televised evening fixture looking to secure back-to-back victories for the first time since October.
Tony Mowbray’s team battled away against the more physical and direct hosts, and Blackburn finally got their rewards when striker Joe Nuttall scored with just five minutes remaining, before Adam Armstrong subsequently secured the three points with an even later finish.
Taking to Twitter, Lenihan claimed it was a ‘brilliant win’ for Blackburn against a tough side, and supporters were quick to show their appreciation for the defender’s battling display.
Lenihan was a rock at The Den and was among the best players on the pitch, recording six aerial duels won and eight clearances which was more than double the number of Rovers’ next best.
The 24-year-old has started 23 of Blackburn’s Championship fixtures this season, and he had added responsibility at Millwall as he featured alongside Jack Rodwell – who was making only his sixth start this season.

The victory moves the Lancashire side back up to 14th position in the table, six points adrift of the playoffs.
Blackburn’s next two league games are at Ewood Park against Ipswich Town and in-form Hull City.
