Celtic’s James Forrest has enjoyed a terrific campaign.

Celtic ace James Forrest says the confidence placed in him by manager Brendan Rodgers is the reason why he is currently enjoying the best season of his career to date, the Evening Times reports.
The Celtic academy product is enjoying a terrific campaign this year, scoring an impressive 16 goals and posting a further three assists in 43 games in all competitions.
Considering Forrest has predominantly featured in a wide position this term, his goal-scoring exploits have certainly stood out and his ability to regularly torment opposition full-backs is evident for all to see.

Speaking to reporters ahead of his side’s clash against Old Firm rivals Rangers this Sunday, Forrest says Rodgers is the reason for his exceptional form and believes he is not the only player who has vastly improved.
“On a personal note I think it’s been my best season. He (Rodgers) has been different class. He gives you so much confidence and he lets the forward players go and express themselves, as long as they’re still working hard,” Forrest told the Evening Times.
“A lot of the boys have kicked on in the last couple of years and it’s only good for the team.”

Forrest, now 26, has enjoyed a trophy-laden career at Celtic Park and victory over Rangers this Sunday will see the Hoops land their seventh straight Scottish Premiership title.
The Gers will be desperate to prevent Celtic from winning the title against them, but the odds are in the Bhoys’ favour with the recent Scottish Cup semi-final humiliation still fresh in the memory.
Celtic have not suffered a home defeat in the league since a 2-1 loss to Motherwell in December 2015, while Rangers’ last league win at Celtic Park was way back in 2010.
