Cardiff City have been linked with Rotherham United’s Will Vaulks.

According to a report in the BBC, Cardiff City are eyeing a move for Rotherham United’s Will Vaulks, as manager Neil Warnock looks to bolster his midfield following the departures of three players.
Long-standing Icelandic midfielder Aron Gunnarsson has made a surprise switch to Qatar, while Harry Arter and Victor Camarasa have departed the club following the end of their season-long loan spells.
It leaves Cardiff short in midfield as they seek to bounce back from their Premier League relegation.
The Bluebirds will be hoping they can mount another Championship promotion charge next season, and Warnock’s decision to stay at the club is arguably the best signing they will make this summer.
The experienced boss has plenty of nous when it comes to promotion challenges, and he has a knack of getting the best out of players especially those willing to fight for the cause and put a shift in.
Rotherham’s Vaulks is a popular figure at the New York Stadium. The 25-year-old joined the Millers in 2016 and played a key role in the club’s promotion to the Championship.

Vaulks has proved he is more than capable of featuring at Championship level. In 41 appearances this season, he has racked up an impressive seven goals and seven assists despite his side’s struggles for goals.
It is claimed in the report that Cardiff will face competition for his signature. Vaulks only recently signed a new one-year extension with Rotherham, but their drop to League One will likely see him move on this summer.
