Liverpool’s Simon Mignolet, Burnley’s Nick Pope and Stoke City’s Jack Butland have been linked with Bournemouth.

According to a report in the Sun, Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is set to move for a new goalkeeper this summer with 39-year-old Artur Boruc out of contract and Asmir Begovic coming back from injury.
The report names Stoke City’s Jack Butland, Burnley’s Nick Pope and Liverpool number two Simon Mignolet as the three names Bournemouth are considering as they ramp up their summer transfer plans.
Butland’s future at Stoke looks to be drawing to a close as the Potters failed to mount a challenge for promotion this season. The Midlands club have fallen way short of expectations as they sit in mid-table.
It is unlikely Butland will spend another season at the Championship club, but Bournemouth will no doubt face heavy competition for his signature while Stoke will surely seek a hefty fee for the talented shot-stopper.
Burnley’s Pope joined Butland in England’s World Cup squad last but he has since seen his career stalled at Turf Moor. The Clarets signed Joe Hart in the summer, pushing Pope down the pecking order.
With Tom Heaton also at Burnley, Pope’s chances of establishing himself as the number one are slim so he is another name likely to be linked with several clubs this summer.

Mignolet, meanwhile, has barely had a sniff at Liverpool after the Reds spent heavily for Brazil international number one Alisson during the summer.
The former Sunderland man still has plenty to offer and the 31-year-old cannot expect to earn back a first-team place at Anfield, considering how Alisson has helped shore up Liverpool’s defence this season.
Mignolet’s contract at Liverpool expires in 2021 so the Reds may not feel inclined to sell him on the cheap.
