Bolton Wanderers ace Jason Lowe spent over a decade at Blackburn Rovers.
Bolton Wanderers midfielder Jason Lowe says he is proud to be playing for the club, and doesn’t like to dwell on the past when asked if he regrets leaving Blackburn Rovers in 2017, the Bolton News report.
“I don’t like looking backwards, to be honest. I like to be in the now and be excited about what is going to happen. I am really proud to be at Bolton. The management put their faith in bringing me here and I am really enjoying my time at the club,” the explained.
Lowe joined Blackburn as a youngster, and came through the youth ranks at Ewood Park before going on to make more than 200 appearances for the club.
Following Rovers’ relegation to League One in the 2016-17 campaign, the 27-year-old moved on to Birmingham City before returning to Lancashire with Bolton this past summer, signing a two-year deal.
Both clubs head into the derby coming off the back of a defeat in midweek, with Blackburn losing 2-0 at home to Sheffield United while Bolton were defeated by the same scoreline at Stoke City.
Regardless of their midweek defeats, though, both clubs are somewhat defying pre-season odds after 11 games by sitting comfortably in mid-table on 15 points. Both were expected to struggle.
Lowe has started all 11 games for Bolton so far, and he will no doubt be desperate to put in a good performance when the two meet at the University of Bolton Stadium in Saturday’s evening kick off.
