Sheffield United’s David Brooks is reportedly set to move to Bournemouth.

According to a report by the Sheffield Star, Sheffield United’s David Brooks is set to have a medical at Bournemouth ahead of a £15 million move.
The report claims that the Blades will pocket an initial £12 million upfront, with the rest to be paid over the completion of instalments, sporting objectives and bonuses.
Brooks came through the youth ranks at Bramall Lane and established himself as one of the best young players outside the top-flight last term, impressing in his debut Championship campaign.
He will leave manager Chris Wilder with a big void to fill in terms of attacking intentions from midfield, but with a £12 million windfall he will have options and Chelsea’s Kasey Palmer represents a fine replacement.

The England U21 international’s future at Chelsea has largely been questioned due to the sheer size and strength of competition blocking his path to a first-team place at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have allowed numerous young players to depart the club in recent years, and Palmer appears likely to be added to that list with several Championship clubs no doubt interested in taking him on.
The 21-year-old has experience of the second tier, having had loan spells at both Huddersfield Town and Derby County – finishing in the playoffs at both clubs in the past two years.

Palmer is predominantly an attacking midfielder with plenty of talent with the ball at his feet. He is capable of scoring goals, providing assists and linking up play in the final third.
Brooks enjoyed a similar role with the Blades, therefore Palmer would represent a like-for-like replacement in midfield though he is arguably even more hardworking off the ball.
A recent report by Sky Sports claims Norwich City are in for him as they seek a replacement for the sold James Maddison, though Palmer may prefer to move back up north having enjoyed his time at Huddersfield.
The Blades would be wise to move for him, even if it means signing him originally on a loan deal, as young attacking talents are in high demand this summer while fees are at an all-time high.
