Ipswich Town manager Paul Lambert has pledged his future to the club.

Ipswich Town supporters have taken to Twitter to comment on the club statement confirming manager Paul Lambert’s intentions to remain at the club beyond the 2018/19 season, itfc.co.uk.
The former Norwich City boss took over the reigns at Ipswich following the dismissal of Paul Hurst. The Tractor Boys had won just one of their first 15 games, rooting them to the foot of the Championship.
While Lambert’s record of nine points from his 12 games in charge, including just two wins, isn’t much better, there appears to be much more optimism around Portman Road – despite still being bottom of the Championship.
Lambert has come out and said he intends to stay on as Ipswich boss even if the team are relegated to League One, and supporters have welcomed the news.
Ipswich owner Marcus Evans has also confirmed, vao the club’s official website, his desire to keep Lambert on, explaining that having a clear identity going forward is important for the Suffolk club to succeed.

The Tractor Boys travel to Blackburn Rovers this weekend hoping to build on their 1-0 win over Rotherham United in their last game. Ipswich remain seven points behind the Millers and safety.
Lambert has gone about strengthening the team this month with the arrivals of players such as James Collins, Simon Dawkins, Will Keane, Alan Judge and Callum Elder. Lambert himself, however, could end up being the best signing the club could make this transfer window.
