West Bromwich Albion’s Ben Foster has been linked with Watford.

According to a recent report in the Sun, Watford are considering signing West Bromwich Albion’s Ben Foster for a fee of around £10 million – a deal the Midlands club should grab with both hands.
While losing former England international Foster would be a blow for the Baggies, getting such a fee for a 35-year-old is pretty unbelievable when considering they can replace him with a top goalkeeper for free.
Crystal Palace player Wayne Hennessey’s contract expires this summer and, with the Eagles seemingly not interested in extending his deal at Selhurst Park, the 31-year-old looks set to walk away on a free.
Hennessey has started 85 Premier League matches for Palace over the past three seasons, including 27 starts last term despite heavy competition for the number one jersey from Alex McCarthy.

The 76-capped Wales international has bags of experience both on the international scene and in the top flight; therefore it comes as a surprise as to why the south London club have allowed his contract to run down.
Hennessey has been earning £40,000 per week at Palace (Spotrac), £20,000 less than what Foster has been taking home at The Hawthorns, so by signing him he would also help bring down the Baggies’ wage bill.
Foster has been an excellent servant for West Brom and he would be a valuable member in their search for promotion from the Championship, but he is not getting any younger.

The club would be making an astute decision to allow him to move on should such a fee be offered, and replacing him with Hennessey on a free transfer would be a no-brainer.
The Palace man would probably be willing to drop down to a Championship club intent on earning promotion to the top flight, and the Baggies this season are without doubt among the front-runners for the second-tier title.
