Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce is rapidly coming under fire from the club’s supporters.

Aston Villa’s official twitter account tried to put a positive spin on an otherwise disappointing weekend as they replayed John McGinn’s exquisite goal in multiple angles while citing the words ‘take a bow’.
The former Hibernian man netted a stunning equaliser against Sheffield Wednesday as his volley from outside the area crashed in off the crossbar, but disappointingly it led to nothing as the Owls recorded a 2-1 win.
Writing in the comments section below the video, a number of fans used the tweet as an excuse to express their dissatisfaction in manager Steve Bruce with the hashtag #bruceout a common theme throughout.
The former Hull City manager led Villa to the Championship playoffs last season, but the Midlands club succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to Fulham at Wembley and his position has been under question since.
Over the summer it appeared Villa would have to sell several star players to starve off financial problems, but much-needed investment late in the transfer window allowed the side to regroup and strengthen.

McGinn was one of those that joined the club over the summer before the transfer deadline, but despite his quality in midfield, results haven’t been great with Villa recording just one win in their last seven league games.
Bruce has since told reporters for the BBC how he has no intentions of walking away from the club, saying: “I will stay on the ropes and stay with it. That will never change with me. I’m never going to walk away from a challenge – and it’s certainly been a challenge.”
Bruce’s words show how defiant he is, but for Villa supporters they know that getting out of the Championship is becoming harder each season and they aren’t the only club with financial power seeking a return to the top-flight.
Teams such as Stoke City, Swansea City, Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest, West Bromwich Albion, Leeds United and Derby County have all spent well in the summer, making the competition that much stronger.
