Derby County travel Ewood Park to face Blackburn Rovers in midweek.

Derby County will look to maintain their push for a Championship play-off spot this season, as they travel to Ewood Park to take on a Blackburn Rovers side with very little to play for.
The Rams head into the clash unbeaten in five matches.
Last time out they drew 3-3 with Brentford in an enthralling encounter at Griffin Park, though Frank Lampard’s side might feel they should have won.
Blackburn, on the other hand, have been in disastrous form. Rovers look like a side who already have their eye on the summer, with nine defeats in their last 11 games seeing them drop down to 16th position.
Derby haven’t won a league game on the road in 2019, but they won’t have a better chance than against a Rovers side out of form and with very little to play for. It is a must-win game for the Rams.

They will have to be without summer signing Scott Malone who picked up a rib injury at Brentford. Malone was replaced with experienced fullback Ashley Cole who should come in as a starter on Tuesday.
The other change Frank Lampard may consider is changing the midfield up. With Mason Mount and Duane Holmes in there, they are too lightweight on the road and leave little protection for the defence.

Holmes has been excellent since breaking through to the first-team, but against a physical Blackburn side the Rams would be better off with Craig Bryson in there who offered more stability off the bench at Brentford.
Here is how we believe Derby County will line up:
