Arsenal have been linked with Roma’s Cengiz Under.

According to report in Tuttomercatoweb, Arsenal have made a 30 million euros [£26m] approach for Roma’s highly-rated attacker Cengiz Under but they are well short of the club’s £44 million valuation.
The Gunners are set for an intriguing summer as they plan on naming Arsene Wenger’s successor ahead of the World Cup, while there is plenty of speculation over potential new signings.

The 20-year-old only joined the Serie A club last summer from Turkish side Basaksehir, yet an outstanding debut season for the club has seen his name linked with fellow European clubs such as Monaco.
Under is a full Turkey international, scoring four goals in eight games, and he predominantly plays as a wide right forward though he is also capable of playing on the opposite flank and through the middle as a number 10.
Blessed with plenty of pace and trickery, the talented youngster has netted seven league goals for Roma in 15 starts, while in Europe he grabbed the assist to Roma’s final goal in their astonishing 3-0 win over Barcelona.

Under has bags of potential and could be a massive player in the future, therefore Arsenal’s interest in him makes plenty of sense though they may not be in a great position to tempt him away from the Italian capital.
Aside from Roma’s high valuation of the player, the eternal city club have Champions League football to offer while a disappointing campaign for the Gunners will see them only feature in the Europa League again.
Tuttomercatoweb go on to say that Roma’s excellent Champions League run to the semi-final means they won’t be forced to sell anyone for financial reasons this summer, therefore Under will be expected to stay.
