Arsenal have been linked with Hull City’s Jarrod Bowen.

According to the Hull Daily Mail, Arsenal’s signing of winger Nicolas Pepe for a club record fee has put the brakes on a potential move for Hull City attacker Jarrod Bowen.
Sky Sports claim Pepe has joined Arsenal for a club record £72 million. His transfer will bolster the Gunners’ attacking ranks and will provide some comfort for Hull supporters over the prospect of Bowen leaving.
A report by The Sun back in June claimed the Gunners were eyeing up a £12 million deal for Hull’s Bowen with the London club said to have been tracking the attacker since last January.
Bowen enjoyed a terrific campaign for the Tigers last season, netting 22 times as Hull moved away from the relegation zone and pushed for an unlikely playoff spot following an excellent run of form in 2019.
The 22-year-old is widely regarded as Hull’s most prized asset, and the club’s financial troubles has prompted plenty of speculation over his future this summer with a departure expected to take place.

Bowen, however, could now remain at the KCOM Stadium with Arsenal’s move for Pepe likely taking up a bulk of their summer transfer budget while the Premier League club also need to address their defence.
The Chronicle claim Newcastle United are also admirers of Bowen, but they suggest Hull’s asking price will prevent the Magpies from making a move for him before the transfer deadline.
