Adlene Guedioura has his heart set on staying at Nottingham Forest.

Adlene Guedioura has told the Nottingham Post how he has no intentions of leaving the City Ground as he seeks to buy a house in the city – comments which places further doubt on Liam Bridcutt’s future.
Forest manager Aitor Karanka has an abundance of midfield options at his disposal, with Bridcutt, Guedioura, Ben Watson, Claudio Yacob and Jack Colback all vying for a first-team place.
Karanka likes to line up in a 4-2-3-1 system with two holding midfielders, but with so many options at least one has found first-team options hard to come by this season and Bridcutt has found himself out of favour.
The former Leeds United ace has only started three games this season, all coming in the Carabao Cup. In the league, he has just a brief cameo in the 1-0 home win over Rotherham United to his name.
Two of Bridcutt’s rivals for a regular spot with the Reds, Watson and Guedioura, are both 33 years of age and arguably past their best having enjoyed spells in the Premier League elsewhere.

But with the latter featuring more often (13 starts this season) and not contemplating leaving before his contract expires in 18 months’ time, Bridcutt’s chances of breaking in in that time frame are slim.
A recent report in the Nottingham Post claims either one of Watson or Bridcutt could be sold this January, and it wouldn’t come a surprise to see Karanka try and move the latter on considering the 29-year-old Scot was signed by his predecessor Mark Warburton in the summer of 2017.
