Norwich City supporters have taken to Twitter to gush over the performance of holding midfielder Tom Trybull as he was instrumental during his side’s crushing 4-0 victory at Bolton Wanderers.

The Canaries travelled to Bolton looking to get their promotion bid back on track following a 3-1 defeat at Preston North End in midweek – a result which knocked them off the top of the Championship table.

Goals from Teemu Pukki (2), Kenny McLean and Marco Stiepermann did the damage in what was complete performance from Norwich and the perfect response from their setback at Deepdale.

There were several outstanding performances for Norwich, but arguably their best player on the day was Trybull who ran that midfield. Taking to Twitter, supporters heaped praise on the 25-year-old.

Trybull’s stats were later displayed by Norwich’s official Twitter account. He recorded 169 touches, 146 passes with a 90.4% accuracy rate, seven aerial duel winners, five interceptions and five clearances.

With his teammates also performing well around him, struggling Bolton didn’t stand much of a chance and Norwich were well worth their 4-0 victory where in truth they could have scored even more.

Trybull’s performance leaves manager Daniel Farke with some thinking to do in the coming weeks, as for the most part this season, he has largely been a squad player making just 11 Championship starts.

The return of Moritz Leitner will boost Norwich’s midfield, while Alexander Tettey and Mario Vrancic are also options in the middle of the park following excellent performances in recent weeks.
