Norwich City beat Middlesbrough 1-0 at Carrow Road on Saturday.

Norwich supporters have taken to Twitter to share their delight at Alexander Tettey’s superb performance, as he shone during his side’s impressive 1-0 victory over Championship promotion favourites Middlesbrough.
Teemu Pukki scored the only goal of the game – netting just before the hour mark – and the Finland international will no doubt take all the plaudits as his strike gave Norwich only their second league win of the campaign.
But it was Tetttey who was arguably the Canaries’ standout player, marshalling the midfield and breaking up Boro’s attacks as Tony Pulis’s men looked to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
Here’s what some supporters had to say on Twitter:
Tettey recorded an impressive three tackles, three interceptions and two clearances as he excelled defensively, while going forward he was a major threat from range, striking four shots on goal (Whoscored).
The Norway international hasn’t had the best of times so far this season, but the international break seemingly came at the right time as his confidence flowed from the first minute and he looked like the player of old.

At 32, Tettey is approaching the twilight of his career, but he still has the ability to become a key player for Norwich and help them push towards a potential promotion challenge this season.
Norwich fans will be hoping victory over Boro is the start of a good run of form, and a confidence-boosting result heading in to back-to-back away games against Reading and Queens Park Rangers.
