West Ham United beat Manchester United 3-1 in the early game at the London Stadium Saturday.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho offered his congratulations to West Ham’s scouting department after calling Issa Diop a ‘monster’ following his terrific performance against his side, the BBC reports.
“Second half we took a bit of time to react but we did and the goalkeeper made a few good saves. Congratulations to the scout that found these 21-year-old kids, Issa Diop is a monster,” Mourinho said.
Manchester United came into the clash under pressure following last weekend’s 1-1 draw at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers, and the midweek Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Championship side Derby County.
Mourinho rang the changes, but to little effect as West Ham continued their good run of form with an excellent 3-1 victory, with Felipe Anderson and Mark Arnautovic scoring either side of a Victor Lindelof own goal.
The Hammers, fresh from their 8-0 win over Macclesfield Town in midweek, are now finding their shooting boots under boss Manuel Pellegrini, but counterpart Mourinho instead reserved special praise for their defending.

21-year-old Diop was worthy of such acclaim after producing an outstanding performance at the back for the Hammers. He recorded a team-high 96% pass-accuracy rate, keeping the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial at bay as he recorded two tackles, two interceptions and five effective clearances (Whoscored).
The 6ft 4inch France U21 international arrived at West Ham from Toulouse in the summer, and has started five Premier League matches to date, with his latest display against the Red Devils his best yet.
