It has been some time since Tottenham Hotspur last won a trophy. In fact, just over a decade ago was the last time they tasted silverware, beating London rivals Chelsea 2-1 in the final of the League Cup.

Right now, things are looking pretty good for Spurs. They move in to their new White Hart Lane stadium for next season, and they have established themselves as the best team in North London.

Despite the disappointment of their recent Champions League exit, Mauricio Pochettino’s men remain third in the Premier League table and have an FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United to look forward to.

Pochettino has done an excellent job at Spurs, and the club’s rise to become a regular Premier League title challenger is phenomenal considering the resources available at their nearest rivals.

Having said all that, the club need to win silverware to really assert themselves as one of England’s top clubs, and they have not done that for over a decade now since that extra time victory over the Blues.

Here we look at some amazing facts which have happened in that time:

– Tottenham have spent more than £580,000,000 on new players.

– London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea have won a combined 12 major trophies between them.

– Pep Guardiola became a manager, going on to have spells at Barcelona, Bayern Munich and City. To date, he has won 22 trophies and looks set to add at least the Premier League title to that tally this season.
