Clinton Morrison gave his take on Sky Sports News (10:10am, December 20, 2020) on Mesut Ozil posting a tweet after Arsenal’s defeat to Everton at the weekend.
Arsenal suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Everton away from home at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Just minutes after the loss for the Gunners, Ozil made the following post on Twitter, which showed his disappointment at the final result.
The 32-year-old German attacking midfielder is not part of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s Premier League squad at the moment.
Former Crystal Palace forward Morrison, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, gave his take on Ozil tweeting after the defeat for the Gunners.
Morrison said about Ozil on Sky Sports News (10:10am, December 20, 2020): “I think genuinely he probably does care, he wants to play football, but at the back of his mind, he could be tweeting thinking, ‘I am trying to play clever here’.”

Back in Arsenal squad in January?
With Arsenal lacking creativity and not scoring enough goals, a recall for Ozil in January would make sense.
The German is a very creative footballer, and although the attacking midfielder is not known for his defensive work, he would be a good option to have on the substitutes’ bench for manager Arteta.
Arsenal need an experienced and creative player like Ozil in the squad to do better.
