Darren Bent has claimed that a transfer fee of ‘£75 million’ would ‘tempt’ West Ham United to sell Jarrod Bowen to Arsenal, as he told talkSPORT.

The former striker added that there is ‘no chance’ he would pay West Ham £75 million for the player if he was sitting in the Arsenal boardroom.

The Gunners have been pretty busy this summer and they have secured the talents of some top targets, including Manchester City forward, Gabriel Jesus.

That proves that despite no Champions League football being played at the Emirates, they still have the pull to lure in some of the top talents in the country.

West Ham’s superstar winger is another one of those players, as Arsenal-mad pundit Bent shared his thoughts on those Bowen links.

“I didn’t know that (on Bowen being linked to Arsenal),” said Bent. “I am not paying that (on West Ham’s £75 million asking price). No chance.

“Then again, we paid £72 million for Pepe, so I would snap your hand off,” laughed Bent. “£75 million?! I would snap your hand off.

“When you look at the attacking options Arsenal have got, with Saka and Smith Rowe. But £75 million would tempt them, trust me.

“If Arsenal were to drop £75 million on the table for Jarrod Bowen, then West Ham would consider that.”

ARSENAL INTERESTED IN SIGNING BOWEN

Bukayo Saka is the undisputed man on Arsenal’s right after he scored 11 Premier League goals last season, as he came out of his teenage years during a season to remember for the youngster.

Whilst Saka was balling it out on one side of London, Bowen was causing havoc in East London, with the 25-year-old scoring and supplying 12 assists each last term.

They were incredible numbers from the versatile star, but it has got him noticed, with Arsenal keen to bring the former Hull City man on board.

That’s the dream for the Gunners, but West Ham United, who are in Europe themselves, will have a firm answer of ‘no chance’ if anyone tries to come knocking for their players.

They want to return to the Premier League’s top-six and their chances will increase by having Bowen and Rice in their XI, so even something ridiculous might not be able to land those players.
