The striker could be set for a bright future at Tottenham Hotspur.
As reported by the Irish Sun last month, Tottenham Hotspur have paid a fee up front to secure the signing of sought after teenage striker Troy Parrott from Belvedere this summer, and now that club’s director of football has given some insight into what Spurs fans can expect from the 15-year-old.
Speaking to Extra.ie, Vincent Butler said, “He’s big and strong and very, very active. He’s all action and very skilful, very brave.
“He’s non-stop, he never stops running; he chases everything down. He’s the ideal sort of player to have. He’s a real handful.
“He encourages people on the pitch. He could get on international teams early because of the presence he has.”
That is all very exciting for those Tottenham fans eager to find out more about their latest addition and to ultimately see him in action.
Given his age, Parrott is a long way off first-team recognition at Tottenham but his skill set is such that he could ultimately break through under Mauricio Pochettino.
Tottenham have a number of talented young strikers in their ranks such as Shayon Harrison, Reo Griffiths, Ryan Loft and Kazaiah Sterling. However there is always room for another and Parrott will be hoping to justify the praise from his former director of football and prove Spurs were right to make their move.
