Preston North End loanee Troy Parrott admits he is ‘not sure’ if he has a future at Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur, speaking to Lancs Live.
With Antonio Conte’s contract expiring – and with a new deal looking increasingly unlikely – a potential clean slate and a fresh start could be exactly the break Parrott needs in North London.
The Republic of Ireland international has not made an appearance for his parent club since 2019/20; struggling to build on all the promise that accompanied his eye-catching performances during that pre-season tour nearly four-years ago.

Parrott has also found goals hard to come by during a series of loans. He’s scored just three times in 23 games for Preston, although it must be said that Ryan Lowe’s side are not exactly the most prolific chance creators.
Either way, such a miserly tally is unlikely to do Parrott’s hopes of a Tottenham rebirth too much good.
Troy Parrott facing uncertain future at Tottenham Hotspur
“I’m not sure. I hope I have a future at Tottenham. I have always said that’s where I want to play,” says Parrott, who celebrated his 21st birthday in February.
“But we will see how the end of the season goes, then take it into the summer and take it as it comes. I am not sure what is going to happen next year, so I am just focused on this last home-straight of the season.”
Parrott admits to having touched base with Conte before the recent FA Cup meeting between Spurs and Preston.
“It was nice to catch up,” the striker adds. “I think he’s a good manager. Ever since I’ve met him, he has been good and tried to help me.”
Parrott is under contract at Tottenham until 2025. There is certainly space in the Spurs squad for another orthodox number nine with Harry Kane – who is facing an uncertain future of his own – the only one currently in the senior set-up.
