Troy Deeney has said on Ben Foster’s YouTube channel that he thinks that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool could bid for Jude Bellingham and sign the Borussia Dortmund midfielder ahead of Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United in the January transfer window.

The Birmingham City striker believes that Liverpool will make a move for England international midfielder Bellingham when the transfer window opens in January.

Liverpool and Manchester United are among the clubs linked with the the 19-year-old.

The Telegraph reported last Friday that Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City all are interested in signing the England international midfielder in the summer of 2023.

The Independent have claimed that Manchester United are interested in Bellingham.

Troy Deeney on Liverpool – Jude Bellingham

Deeney said about Liverpool and Bellingham: “I could see them getting Jude. I could see them go big on Jude just before United or City.

“Someone has got to go £120 million on him early doors because if you wait until the summer, even if he has a really good World Cup, it could be £150 million, mate.”

Unlikely January transfer

In our view, Liverpool are unlikely to be able to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window.

Yes, the Reds could make a big bid for him in January, but Dortmund are unlikely to sell the £49,000-a-week (SalarySport) star in the middle of the season.

After all, Dortmund are aiming to win the the Bundesliga this season.

Moreover, the German club will know that they would be able to name whatever price they want for the teenager in the summer of 2023.
