Watford striker Troy Deeney has commented on Tottenham Hotspur as they aim to lift silverware this season.

Watford striker Troy Deeney believes the Tottenham players will be thinking after all the build-up in recent seasons ‘this is the time to win something’ at the club.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side secured their place in the next round of the FA Cup on Friday night after thumping League Two side Tranmere Rovers 7-0 on their own patch.
Striker Fernando Llorente netted a hat-trick for his side, with the likes of Serge Aurier, Harry Kane and Heung-min Son also getting on the scoresheet for the London club.
As Spurs were ripping it up at Prenton Park, Deeney offered his thoughts on Spurs’ trophy hunt and what the players will be thinking after years of coming close to lifting silverware.
“They [the Spurs players] want to win something,” Deeney told the Friday Football Social on BBC Radio 5 Live.“I think for as much has been built up now, I think even the players are going ‘right this is the time to win something’.
“The only thing I would look back on would be the Chelsea game when they were so close to winning the league. Do they want to get to the point where they prioritise just one thing and then it falls apart? I think it’s just a case of win as many as they can.”

At this moment in time, Spurs are in every domestic and European trophy as they will be hoping to lift their first piece of silverware under Pochettino.
In four days time, the north London club will play Chelsea in the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final at Wembley, with the return leg taking place at Stamford Bridge towards the end of this month.
Added with that, Pochettino’s side have eased their way into the next round of the FA Cup and they will also return to Champions League action in February.
In the Premier League, they are currently sitting in third place, two-points of second-placed Manchester City and a further six points off the league leaders Liverpool – The Reds were beaten 2-1 by City on Thursday night.
